COVID-19: TENNIS UPDATE: 12th March 2021
Following the recent Government announcement, both singles and doubles play is now permitted between players from four different households. Group coaching sessions for adults and children are now permitted.
We remind members of the key issues in our return to play protocol:
- Courts must be booked prior to arrival at the Club
- Do not book more than three half-hour slots at peak times (after 5 pm on weekdays and at weekends)
- Cancel court bookings as soon as possible if you find that you cannot use it
- Follow government guidance regarding hand-hygiene and social distancing
- Leave the Club without undue delay after you have finished your game
The Clubhouse is open for the use of toilets, handwashing facilities, access to court floodlights and to the guest sheet on the notice board. Wear a face mask when in the building.
We have 4 artificial DOE tennis courts. Installed in 2017 they play well & drain superbly after heavy rain. Courts 1 & 2 two have floodlights. We also have a mini tennis court & practice wall. A Mixed Singles tennis Box League and a separate Mixed Tennis Ladder are currently proving very popular.
The Dean Tennis & Squash Club is situated very close to the Dean Bridge, at Edinburgh city centre’s West End. There are two pedestrian entrances: 24 Lennox St. & Dean Pk. Cresc.
